POEM #1 - Storybook Thinking
|
Goldilocks had said "I'll nap while I wait... It'll still be there when I wake
and am ready to eat...the porridges just too hot" and like a shot...I find myself running with Goldilocks in front, caught up in escaping a fading dream of steaming.
And as I catch my breath long enough to glance in back, I find no sign of any beast, least of all three bears....
and for nothing cept keeping up with me
Goldi had fallen and skinned her knee.
Sorts out-vocalizes-harmonizing with his conscience...
Why should I be afraid of the Big Bad Wolf?...And Is Virginia Wolfe a princess compared?
I think I'd rather be Dorothy or Toto
living somewhere over the rainbow else
while never leaving home........
while never leaving hope.
